DKJ MARTIAL ARTS & SOUTH COAST SUBMISSIONS - NEW PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES TO GROW. - Its only been a few months since Gareth Johnson and Brian Adams partered up to create the best training facilities in the area. Both men having trained for many years with a who's who of Martial Arts intructors decided to create what they have always wanted with the gym. Now they have done the same with the show. After travelling across the country to mostly second rate shows that don't match well, and don't look after the fighters they decided it was time to act and Shock N Awe was born. A show for fighters, promoted by fighters. The first installment of this exciting series of events will be at the Ferneham Hall, Fareham, Hampshire on Friday September 18th. Do not miss it !

WAYNE SMEETON W.C.B. DEBUT - Another outing to another Absolute Adrenaline show and this time Wayne Smeeton took on one of the Marchment family from Waterside MMA in a boxing match under white collar boxing rules. Wayne through everything he had at Marchments chin and hat off to, he would not go down and kept pressuring Wayne. A convinxing draw and a great performance from both men. Wayne contiues to be a credit and inspritiation to all in the gym.

ABSOLUTE ADRENALINE, NEW BLOOD - This was the second outing to the popular Bulldog novice show. With Tom Devine due to re-match his opponent from last year after an unconvincing draw against Bulldogs Lee Winstantley in November, the pressure was on. Tom trained hard and trained right, he pushed forward for three rounds and took a unanimous decision. Josh Smeeton was up next against another of Bulldogs boys, Josh again kept the pressure on and convincinly took the fight on points. Just before the main event it was announced by MC Malcom Martin that Tom Devine had been voted fighter of the night by all three judges, quitre a feat for a 16 year old, making it the second time a DKJ fighter has won it in as many shows. One very proud coach and instructor then took them home ready for there next outing in March against new opponents and fresh blood!

FCFN LIQUID, PORTSMOUTH - Chris Fuga made his debut in the cage, Chris had an even first round until a lucky punch took him to the floor and the ref gave him an 8 count. The second round started and confidence oozed from his opponent and with Chris's confidence gone it only took 34 seconds for the fight to end in Chris losing with a TKO. Matt Gordon was then due to step up, and five minutes before he was due on, his opponent did a runner! Unfortunately, it happens to everyone at some point. Adam Woolmer from SCS stepped in and gave Matt his first experience in the Cage in a three round exhibition fight. Well done boys, onwards and upwards for next time!

July 14th BATTLE IN BOURNEMOUTH V RESULTS - DKJ unfortunately walked away with two losses on the night. A brave performance by Mark Levett who with only 9 months of training nearly went the distance with the Sukhothai fighter, unfortunately fitness prevailed and Mark went down exhausted in the third. Gareth Johnsons heavyweight K1 clash did not go as planned either, the DKJ camp knew that Ian Squire was strong with the knees and that he was, the fight finished in the 2nd with two great knees into Gareths ribs which has put him out for at least 6 weeks.
From these fights you would expect them to be down and out, but with the support from the huge crowd that travelled up to watch the fights there was no way the fighters could be. Speaking personally I have never been so proud in all my life, from the moment I took the fight I had complete support from not only my Father, but from my extended family, all of you inthe academy, something I have never had from so many people. I will be back, better and stronger I promise and I will bring the academy a belt. Thanks to Mark and Ken who did a great job running the corners. Gareth.

Well done to Mark Levett who took the under 16's Championship trophy, an impressive display from such a young fighter. Congratulations to our veteran Ken White who took out two guys half his age to take the Lightweight Title, a very impressive technical performance.

Wayne Smeeton who's long term injury caused problems at the end of the 1st round which put a stop to his fight. Tom Devine who had a good win, followed by a knockout from his own team mate ! Mark Buckett who fought for the British Title had a poor decisison go against him, which caused uproar even with the opponents fans !
My thanks to Mark Buckett who ran the corner for all DKJ vs DKJ fights, and the fans ! All of you who made the short trip made all the difference. Thank you so much and I hope you continue to support us.
